Philippa Barstow

I qualified from Manchester College of Building in 1987 and started my own business, along with my husband, in 1988. I have been teaching at night school for over 30 years and have taught French Polishing around the country and the world. 

For many years I and my husband were exhibitors at International Woodworking Shows in London and Harrogate. We carried out jobs on both large and small scale.

In the class I can also instruct in simple upholstery, eg. chair seats as well as in chair seat caning. 

The class will be highly practical and any type of furniture can be restored, from antique to more modern.
