Sabine Kussmaul
Life drawing is one of the most fascinating things to do in art and...
Sabine trained as a fashion designer with the aim to combine a fascination for drawing with the exploration of the sculptural potential of the human figure. After some time working as a free-lancer for sportswear, she moved into teaching Drawing and working as an Illustrator. Sabine also worked as a teacher in Further Education, in Germany and the UK, teaching a range of topics within Art & Design. Since 2008 has been focussing on her own visual arts practice which led to studies for a Masters Degree in Fine At. She is now researching how embodied drawing practices can negotiate inter-relativity between self, body and environment, in the context of a PhD studentship at the University of Chester.
Have a look at this observational drawing class' work from the previous term... it is here.... (students have given permission to show their work)
