Information
A day to learn new jewellery skills, concentrating on stone setting. If you are new to jewellery making you can use a cabochon semi precious stone in a rub over setting. If you would like to push your skills you can learn how to do a flush setting or use gravers to do star setting. Gravers will be available to purchase and fitted to your hand.
You might choose to incorporate other processes such as texturing, mixed metals, etc to add a splash of colour and individuality to your jewellery. Perhaps you could bring foraged piece of sea glass from your holiday or choose to use a birthstone for a special for a birthday. We have a huge array of gemstones to browse and purchase at the Guild. Hannah will demonstrate a variety of setting styles, however if there is anything you wish to learn please send a message and this can be accommodated. The day will be led by your experience, design ideas and chosen gemstones. If you have a particular request DM to discuss.
Images of work are made during Hannah’s previous classes.
