This course is suitable for beginners and to those with some jewellery making experience. Making a ring is a great project to lay some firm foundations in jewellery making. You will learn a wide range of jewellery making skills such as: • Piercing • Filing • Annealing • Soldering • Basic Forming • Basic hammering • Texturing • Polishing • Twisting
Choose from a selection of techniques to make a ring or series of rings if your skill level allows you, for example that be by texturing, stamping, twisting, sawing, etc. Learn to measure your ring size and then make up a ring to fit. You will leave at the end of the day with a unique ring and a good foundation of skills in jewellery making.
Copper will be provided and students are welcome to bring their own silver but silver can be purchased on the day from the tutor.
