English Advanced (C1) For Speakers Of Other Languages

Description: This course is suitable for learners with a very good knowledge and understanding of English grammar. You will already know the simple, continuous and perfect tenses (past, present and future) and be confident with irregular verbs in all their forms. You will learn more advanced grammar structures including the passive voice and your vocabulary will be developed so you can use more complex language in a range of situations. You will be introduced to a wide range of idioms and collocations to improve the fluency of your English communication.

You will work with a small group of learners at the same level and we will use a course book to improve skills in reading, listening, writing and speaking. You will be given the course book details so you can purchase it in advance. Over the year we will have three terms. You will register for each term separately. Each lesson lasts two hours and you will attend classes once a week on a Monday morning.

Assessment: There is classroom testing at the end of each term. A pass will lead to a certificate confirming your attainment level.

Fee: This is a free course. You are only required to pay an enrolment fee of £20 per student per term to book your place.
