All CategoriesArchaeology, History & History of ArtCourse

Course synopsis

Following on from the popular and well-attended “Road Less Travelled” series, this brief course seeks to continue our exploration of locations, in Italy, that are off the beaten tourist pathway. It is organised around themes that will see us travelling all around the “mighty boot” looking for yet more places to savour. Topics will include:

-          The Italy behind closed doors

-          Italian cinema locations

-          Places of remembrance

-          Street and open-air art

-          More unsung locations from north to south

-          National parks

The meetings will blend art with history, anecdotes and local customs in an engaging yet informative and enjoyable way. The course is self contained, and previous attendance to the 2024/2025 “Road Less Travelled” series is not a pre-requisite.
