Portrayals - a collection of paintings

This exhibition features more than 30 portrait paintings, lovingly created by Guild students Louise Heaton and Sue Lindley.

They say;

“This exhibition considers what it is to admire, study and remember different faces; whether loved ones or well-known celebrities. In the spirit of thousands of years of portraiture, we seek to offer fresh perspectives on what it is to “know” a face. In the words of 19th C. French poet Charles Beaudelaire, ‘What could be more simple and more complex, more obvious and more profound than a portrait.’”
