Gardening Club meeting 30 January 2025

Our second meeting of 2025 is this Thursday 30th January when Razvan Chisu will give a talk entitled 'Transylvanian Plants and Castles’. The start is 7.30pm at the Guild.

Although Raz is very well known to many of us I will provide some information about him for those new to the club. He grew up in Transylvania surrounded by woodlands and species-rich meadows, which has influenced the way he designs and maintains gardens. Raz has a BSc and MSc in Horticulture and has worked in garden design, led garden tours, lectured to garden groups and conferences and has been editor of the Saxifrage magazine. Currently he is Social media manager for the Alpine Garden Society and is extremely knowledgeable with wide horticultural interests.
