This sew-along workshop will help you to discover how to make your own lined tote bag in a 4-hour sew-along session.
At the workshop we will each cut out and sew our own bag, fully lined, complete with handles. You can bring along your own fabric, or you can use fabric that we have at The Guild. We will use a standard pattern but you can adapt the size of the bag and the length of the handles if you wish.
Fabric required is:
- Half a metre of outer fabric eg heavier weight cotton
- Half a metre of lining fabric, which could for example be a lighter weight cotton
- Interfacing - one metre of medium weight iron-on interfacing
Please bring along with you any small sewing items such as scissors, needles, thread etc. that you have, although we have some items that can be borrowed. Please bring along your sewing machine if you have one, but if you wish to borrow one, please let us know beforehand by email
