This one day workshop will explore an Italian film while practising the language. The viewing of the film will be in fact accompanied by activities devised to comment on the film in an interactive way. Intermediate level at least required, but everybody is welcome. (Film with subtitles in English or Italian)
Mine Vaganti (Loose Cannons, 2010) by highly acclaimed director Ferzan Ozpetek, tells the story of the Cantone family who own a pasta factory in southern Italy. At a family diner, parents Vincenzo and Stefania Cantone plan on passing the factory to their two sons, Antonio and Tommaso Cantone. However, the younger son Tommaso, who has returned home from business school in Rome, has his own important news to tell.
