Welcome to the world of photography! Whether you're an absolute beginner or someone looking to enhance your skills, this course is designed to ignite your passion for capturing moments and unleashing your creative potential.
This friendly hands-on photographic course is led by professional photographer Richard Weston who will guide you through understanding the basics of your camera. From mastering composition, lighting, post-processing techniques and understanding how pictures ‘talk’.
With clear explanations and practical exercises you'll discover the technical aspects of your camera, including aperture, shutterspeed, ISO, and how to manipulate them to achieve your desired effects. You’ll also be introduced to popular editing software as well as an introduction to film and darkroom techniques. By the end of this course, you'll gain confidence to find out what you can really explore in photography. So, get ready to embark on this exciting journey, where every click of the shutter opens up a world of possibilities and unlock your creative potential
Richard Weston MA is a national award winning photographer based in Wilmslow with over 35 years of professional experience in commercial photography, teaching and mentorship.
