Course synopsis
This course will take a close look at a series of subjects and mediums in art, such as Still Life, Printmaking, Drawing and Collage and delve into the history of the subject.
Most of the chosen items will take two sessions each, but some may be only one. Some subjects go back centuries (drawing, printmaking) and others are more rooted in the modern era (collage, graffiti). Many famous artists are included - Durer, Hogarth, Picasso, Kahlo and some less well-known - Yves Klein, Clara Peeters, John Stezaker. It's a slightly different way of looking at art, but I hope it will be interesting!
