Monday Morning Intermediate Art With Anna 2025/26

Start the week as you mean to go on. For students with some Art experience who would like to learn more. This class provides a friendly and supportive environment to explore individual ideas through a combination of guidance and technical help from Anna and inspiration from the work of other artists. Advance and extend skills in a wide variety of media including pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, pastel, watercolour and acrylic paint.   You will be encouraged to work at your own pace with a focus on developing your own personal artistic style and interests. 

Spring term 2026 theme will be Portraits. 

You will learn ways to develop the skills you need to paint successful portraits.  We will cover

·         Ways to measure proportion

·         Ways to show form

·         What to look for in eye, nose and mouth shapes

·         Ways to mix skin colours

·         Ways to show shadows and highlights

·         How to paint hair
