'Fabulous, fun and inspiring'

'A friendly atmosphere'

'So interesting!'

Have you ever wanted to have a go at creative writing but not known how or where to start? Do you have a story, poem or article bursting to get out and you want to do it justice? This informal but in-depth programme for beginners, offered over three terms, will give you all the creative tools you need to start writing and to develop your craft.

You will have the opportunity to try your hand at fiction, poetry, creative non fiction and script writing. We will look at  structure, character, plot and  dialogue and you can put what you learn into practice with regular 'homeworks'. Tutor  feedback is available for all your work, and students will have optional access to a special interest guild writers' WhatsApp group so you can keep in touch easily between classes.  By the end of the course you will have the techniques and experience to continue writing independently, or you could progress to our Monday afternoon Creative Writing group which is for more experienced writers.

Whatever you are writing and whether you aim to publish or just to share with friends, you are assured of a warm welcome, a supportive and positive learning experience, and constructive feedback.
