'Fabulous, fun and inspiring'
'A friendly atmosphere'
'So interesting!'
Have you ever wanted to have a go at creative writing but not known how or where to start? Do you have a story, poem or article bursting to get out and you want to do it justice? This informal but in-depth programme for beginners will give you all the creative tools you need to start writing and to develop your craft - inclduing confidence in yourself and your writing.
You will have the opportunity to try your hand at fiction, poetry, creative non fiction and script writing. We will look at structure, character, plot and dialogue and you can put what you learn into practice with regular 'homeworks'. Tutor feedback is available for your work, and students will have optional access to a special interest guild writers' WhatsApp group so you can keep in touch easily between classes. By the end of the course you will have the techniques and experience to continue writing independently, or you could progress to our Tuesday Improvers group.
