Beginners Art With Anna Summer Term Working With Pastels And Mixed Media

For those with little or no recent experience.  Learn how to use pastels and mixed media
through instruction from Anna, inspiration from the work of other artists and
support from fellow students.  The Summer
term will be spent working from observation and learning how to shade and then
how to mix pastel colours.  We will use pastel
and oil pastel to learn about tone, edge, colour and texture and how to turn
what you see in three dimensions into a two- dimensional picture.  We will finish by experimenting with ways to
mix media to achieve rich, multi-layered images.  A kit list will be provided at the beginning
of the course.
