Course synopsis
Art for health and wellbeing is a five-week course led by Artist- Art psychotherapist Claire Parker.
Art and creativity are powerful, relational tools for change, and are essential for our health and wellbeing. Art helps us feel connected to ourselves, to others and to the wider world. Engaging in art activity keeps us rooted in the here and now where we can find endless immersive, mindful meditations. Join professional artist and HCPC registered art psychotherapist Claire Parker to enjoy this course designed to support your emotional and creative wellbeing through art. All you need is curiosity, openness and a willingness to explore.
This course offers a safe supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself and experience the powerful benefits of self- expression.
This course commences on Wednesday 3rd June to 1st July at 7pm to 9pm.
By the end of the five weeks, you will:
Feel more confident to engage with art to promote wellbeing
Have practical creative techniques to manage stress
Experience increased emotional awareness
Have developed a sustainable and a personal creative and artistic expression
Feel more connected to yourself and others
Leave with a collection of meaningful personal artworks.
