Information
The Guild Bridge Club will appeal to people who wish to play duplicate bridge of a reasonable standard in a friendly but competitive atmosphere throughout the year. Bridge players new to duplicate are welcome. Typically, there are 10-14 tables each week playing 24 - 27 boards.
Results from Bridgemates are promptly provided by email and in detail on the Club website www.bridgewebs.com/wilmslowguild . A pre-session pairing-up service is available to find a bridge partner, on either a temporary or longer-term basis.
The Club meets weekly usually on a Wednesday at The Hall at Marthall, Sandlebridge Rd, Marthall WA16 7SB (off A537 Chelford to Knutsford behind Marthall Church) with arrival by 13.00h and play from 13.10 to 16.30h – check the website Bulletin for details.
The table fee is £3 inclusive of tea/coffee and biscuit.
Please note some reminders for your diary on Guild Bridge activities.
1. The earlier start time requested by members for Winter Sessions of arrival by 12.30 for 12.40 for an easier and lighter drive-home will commence Wed 18 Nov 2026 and finish Wed 13 Jan 2027 inclusive.
2. Guild Bridge will be held on Wed 23 Dec (with some Xmas cheer) and return after Xmas/NY on Wed 6 Jan 2027. Confirmation will be given later to members concerning a session on 30 Dec 2026.
