This class is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. Learn to make your own chains, whether to incorporate into another piece of jewellery or as a stand-alone chain. Making your own chains is a valuable and rewarding skill to learn. In this class you will be taught to make your own chains in copper and silver. Techniques covered in this class include: Learning to draw wire to the required size, making jumprings and links of all shapes and sizes, soldering jumprings, designing and creating finished chains, texturing and cutting metal and links, experimenting with different chain designs from small and intricate to chunky statement pieces. Making chains means that you can really personalise every part of your jewellery and will also give you lots of practice with your soldering! Silver will be available to purchase on the day.
