The 1st August 2024 marks the 40th Anniversary of the discovery of a bog body on Lindow Moss...who later became known as 'Lindow Man' or 'Lindow II'. To commemorate this find, the British Museum, Manchester Museum, Transition Wilmslow, The Guild and one or two other agencies are planning a six-month season of cultural and learning events on both Lindow Common itself and across the town of Wilmslow from 21 June 2024 to 21 Dec 2024. As part of the celebration the Contemporary Textiles class at the Guild has been invited to put up a display of textile work inspired by the Lindow discovery and Iron Age culture.
