Enjoying Poetry Making The Familiar, Unfamiliar

All CategoriesClassics, Literature, Philosophy, Poetry & Politics

Course synopsis

In the wake (we hope) of the pandemic, join us in discussing poems about
the role of poetry in times of change, stress and disorientation. Amongst other
things we will look at poems about time and its effects and poems about what it
is to write poetry.  There will also be a special case study on Sylvia
Plath and Ted Hughes as an example of making the familiar unfamiliar.
